Aster Mail
End-to-end encrypted email with post-quantum cryptography.

We built Aster because encrypted email shouldn't require a technical degree or a compromise on features. Your inbox should be private by default , not as an add-on.
All encryption happens on your device before anything touches our servers. We cannot read your emails, and neither can anyone else. On top of standard PGP, Aster uses post-quantum cryptography by default, meaning your emails are protected even against future quantum attacks, and it works when emailing Gmail users too, not just other Aster users.
Features
- End-to-end encryption – Email content, contacts, search, and attachments all encrypted client-side
- Post-quantum cryptography – ML-KEM-768 + X3DH + Double Ratchet, protecting against store-now-decrypt-later attacks
- Free aliases & ghost aliases – Auto-generated anonymous addresses included on every plan
- Custom domains – Bring your own domain, included free
- Burn-after-read, scheduled send, email snooze – Features you'd expect from a modern inbox
- Fully open source – AGPL v3, codebase public on GitHub at launch
- Cross-platform – Web, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows
- Servers in Germany – Hosted on Hetzner
We don't read your emails. We don't sell your data. That's the whole point.
