RealRank

What is RealRank?

RealRank is an organic traffic leaderboard that showcases websites based on verified Google Search Console click counts. Many online directories rank platforms according to subjective upvotes, community submissions, or rough third-party estimations. RealRank addresses this lack of transparency by pulling click metrics directly from opted-in property owners.

By prioritizing growth speed rather than purely raw traffic volume, smaller platforms with strong upward momentum can outperform established incumbents. Every metric displayed reflects verified data, removing guesswork and biased ranking systems.

Who is it for?

RealRank serves independent developers and growing businesses seeking authentic social proof for their organic search reach.

• Indie makers and founders who want to showcase proof of search growth without relying on upvote competitions.
• Bootstrapped SaaS teams looking for organic discovery through verified performance milestones.
• Website operators in sectors like Developer Tools, AI, Media, and E-commerce wanting backlink presence and third-party visibility.
• Search marketers interested in tracking verified momentum trends across emerging web products.

Key features

• Verified Click Tracking: Integrates directly with Google Search Console via read-only access to confirm real organic clicks rather than estimates.
• Momentum Ranking: Calculates growth velocity by comparing average daily clicks in the last 7 days against the preceding 21 days, adjusted for total size.
• Volume Leaderboard: Provides an alternative view that organizes participating sites purely by total organic clicks recorded over a 28-day window.
• Reciprocal Verified Listings: Gives participants a permanent directory page and a verified backlink after adding a RealRank badge to their project.
• Daily Data Refreshes: Updates organic statistics and board positions every 24 hours to reflect current traffic movements.
• Protected Scoring Integrity: Keeps paid placements completely distinct in separate labeled slots, ensuring sponsored ads cannot alter leaderboard rank.

How it works

1. Submit your project URL to create a basic directory listing on the platform.
2. Connect your Google Search Console account using read-only permissions to authenticate site clicks.
3. Place the RealRank verification badge on your website to claim your profile.
4. Allow the platform to evaluate click performance across rolling 7-day and 28-day windows.
5. Appear on the public leaderboard ranked automatically by traffic volume or momentum velocity.

Use cases

A newly launched software utility uses RealRank to prove to prospective users and buyers that its search footprint is growing rapidly week over week.

An online media publisher joins the volume board to display an independent, verifiable record of organic click totals without revealing private internal dashboards.

A niche web directory founder earns an owner-verified profile and a permanent incoming link to improve early discovery.

Pricing

RealRank operates on a free model for listings and rank tracking. The List plan is free forever, providing a permanent directory entry, owner-verified check, and a link in exchange for displaying a site badge. The Rank tier is also free forever, granting a verified leaderboard rank and public analytics profile through read-only Google Search Console integration. A Sponsor option is offered as a custom paid placement for fixed, labeled ads that do not alter rank positions.

FAQ

Is RealRank free to use?

Yes, listing your project and securing a verified leaderboard spot are completely free. You only need to link your Google Search Console property with read-only access.

Can sites pay for a higher rank?

No, rankings are strictly determined by verified search performance. Paid sponsors receive separate, clearly labeled slots that are excluded from algorithmic scoring.

What access does RealRank require from Google Search Console?

It connects with read-only permissions to inspect click counts across recent 7-day and 28-day intervals.

Why are some sites listed as pending?

Pending sites have connected their Search Console data but do not yet have verified clicks recorded in the current active window.
