WhisperWeb

WhisperWeb is a free web app for transcribing recordings and creating subtitles with OpenAI's open-source Whisper speech recognition model. The model runs on your own device inside the browser tab: your audio, video and transcripts are not uploaded. Choose a local audio file (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC) or video (MP4, WebM, MOV), or record from the microphone, pick a language or auto-detect, optionally translate to English, correct words and timings, then export TXT, SRT or VTT. Also includes SRT/VTT conversion. No account, no payment, no API key. Limits: 200 MB and 20 minutes per file. Interface in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese. WhisperWeb is an independent project and is not affiliated with OpenAI.
