Because I have ADHD, I want to capture my ideas quickly on any screen.

I'm so sick of having to open a separate notes app every time I want to jot something down. I just want to capture a thought without interrupting what I'm working on.

Hello everyone. I'm the developer of FloatMemo.

I built this app to solve a problem for people like me who have ADHD. When we're

working, all sorts of ideas pop into our heads, and because they're often quite creative, we want to capture them immediately.

However, switching to another app, opening a bloated notes app, and finally jotting it down creates a huge psychological burden. You often just end up not bothering, and that context switching is really tough for someone with ADHD. Even though we can multitask, capturing sudden inspirations happens many times a day. That's why I wanted to build a tool for myself.

FloatMemo lets you pull up a pop-up window on any screen. You just summon it, write down your idea, and close it without ever having to open a separate notes app. You can do this on any screen.

I've also added a clipboard manager feature. You can open your clipboard anywhere and quickly paste into any input field, and you can even pin frequently used notes to the sidebar for quick access.

I've been using it for over six months now, and the experience has been fantastic. If you're like me and struggle with ADHD, you should give it a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

One thing to note: it currently only supports macOS because that's what I use. If you're a Windows user and interested in trying it, let me know in the comments. If there's enough demand, I'll consider building a Windows version.
